Cigma conducted the 9th Medical Coding job drives in 2022 in association with Optum at the Cigma Medical Coding Academy campus on October 16, 2022. A recruitment campaign was conducted for the graduates who cleared CPC certification and are waiting for the CPC exam results. The interview selection process was in three rounds- Technical, Managerial and HR round and who are willing to relocate to Hyderabad and ready to provide a long-term tenure with the company. The company onboards the candidates at their Hyderabad office with a package of three to four lakhs based on qualification and skill set.
A total of 164 candidates appeared for the interview, out of which 116 were shortlisted and met 70.17%, again the highest ratio of the selection process, another pride moment of Cigma's placement teamwork. Eight technical panels and three managers conducted the selection process of 164 candidates. The officials appreciated the trainers and placement team for conducting the job drive professionally and students' performance in the interview.
This is the second time the officials have travelled from Hyderabad to Ernakulam to onboard the candidates from the Kerala region within three months. Sanjana said, "we are travelling the second time only because the skilled, qualified medical coder was onboarded. Their outstanding performance in work attracted them again to come to Kochin in three months. In the last interview, we considered candidates from other than Cigma, but this time the consideration was only for the Cigma candidates.
Bibin Balan, CEO of Cigma Medical Coding Academy, said the opportunities for medical coders had increased drastically in the last two years, and many Medical coding companies are Considering medical coders from Kerala, which is opportunistic for us.
Shortlisted candidates' details will be published very soon, and after post-completion of the background verification, these candidates will be onboarded before the end of November 2022.
